Dinneen: McCain's amendment to farm bill would reduce fuel choices

The Renewable Fuels Association criticized a Senate farm bill amendment introduced by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., that would end the use of federal funds to support the installation of blender pumps and ethanol-storage facilities. "Senator McCain never misses an opportunity to try to roll back the progress America's renewable fuels industry is making in helping this country become more energy and economically secure," said RFA President and CEO Bob Dinneen. "Amendments like this would deny the will of 75% of Americans and only lead to a greater dependence on petroleum and higher prices for fuel," Dinneen added.
