Arizona district steps up outreach for summer-meal program

Only about 6% of eligible students access Arizona's free summer-meal program, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In the Roosevelt School District in Phoenix, officials expect to serve about 25,000 meals and say they are busy reaching out to families to ensure students get the access they need to summer meals.
