Researchers ID 3 genetic networks linked to autism

In a genomewide association study involving more than 19,200 people with and without autism spectrum disorder, researchers found three new genetic pathways linked with the developmental disorder. One of the autism-related gene networks was also associated with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and schizophrenia, according to the study in the journal Nature Communications.
