Advocacy group wants curbs on interactive marketing

Jeffrey Chester, head of the Center for Digital Democracy, has sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission criticizing the negative effects of interactive advertising on children. Chester's letter says current advertising practices exceed the limits of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and that children and teens don't have the ability to determine whether and how they're being marketed to.
