Jelly Belly honors Reagan

California-based Jelly Belly sent then-Gov. Ronald Reagan jelly beans in 1967 to help him quit smoking, and Reagan made the candies a must-have at the White House when he won the presidency. The company has affixed black ribbons to a jelly bean mosaic of Reagan in honor of his passing, and credits him for its worldwide success.
