U.S. Q1 ad spending grew 2.4%

U.S. ad spending climbed to $20.3 billion in the first quarter of this year -- a 2.4% increase over the same period in 2004, Nielsen Media Research reported. Most media areas saw increases, with the biggest jumps seen in Spanish-language TV, cable TV and magazines.
