Kaiser, Microsoft to begin patient data exchange pilot

Kaiser Permanente and Microsoft will partner in a patient information exchange program designed to give people more control over their health records. Kaiser, which will initially include only its 156,000 employees, will send patient data to Microsoft's HealthVault accounts, which also allow patients to store other medical information from Web sites and to determine what information they would like to share.
