Canadian city to pave road with mix made from old tires

A mixture of old tires and petroleum-based road cover will be used to resurface a road in St. Charles, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, later this month. Officials note that the environmentally friendly mixture costs up to 30% more than traditional asphalt. However, they also note it may be more resistant to wear and cracking.
