Canary Foundation supports research on early cancer detection

The Canary Foundation has granted Stanford University $15 million to establish a cancer research center that will use proteomics research and molecular imaging methods to develop better ways of diagnosing cancer at an early stage. The university also will allot $5 million of its own funds for the center, which will coordinate with the National Cancer Institute for the translation of research results into the clinical setting.
