Group looks for greater interoperability in video surveillance

A group called the HDcctv Alliance is recommending the adoption of a new standard that would govern high-definition video-surveillance devices. The standard, which is available now to members of the alliance and in September to other firms, is designed to provide greater interoperability among the different types of HDTV cameras, recorders and monitors.
