Gulf nations not dead set on linking currency to dollar

The four Persian Gulf countries working to create a regional monetary union might reconsider at some point its decision to peg its currency to the U.S. dollar, said Abdul-Rahman al-Attiyah, secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council. "I don't know if that will continue in the future, but for now the fix is to the dollar," he said.
