Minnesota drops proposed ban on online gambling

Minnesota officials dropped plans to ban online gambling after a group of Internet service providers filed a federal lawsuit. Minnesota officials had contended that all online gambling is illegal, even if hosted overseas. The state had planned to block service providers from offering access to gambling sites to Minnesota residents.
