Panel says stress tests might need to be redone

The Congressional Oversight Panel said if the government's assumptions about the economy prove to have been too optimistic, it might need to redo the stress tests of the nation's biggest financial institutions. For the most part, the panel applauded the stress tests and the regulators that conducted them. However, the panel noted that the reviews assumed an 8.9% average unemployment rate as the worst-case scenario.
