Poll shows support for higher preventive care spending

A telephone poll of more than 1,000 U.S. voters found 86% of Democrats, 71% of Republicans and 70% of independents support spending more money for preventive health care services. Overall, 77% of those polled said prevention would save money in the long run, even if it costs more at the outset.
