Providers express doubts about stimulus funding for health IT

More than 500 providers that participated in a recent survey expressed support for electronic medical records, pay-for-performance programs and other efforts to revamp the U.S. care-delivery system, but more than 50% think that funding from the stimulus package will do little to boost clinical IT adoption. The poll, which was conducted by health IT firm IVANS, also cited budget concerns and inadequate expertise as barriers to using such solutions.
