Report: U.S. restaurants focus on value

Deals drive sales at U.S. restaurants, but elsewhere in the world, marketers focus on introducing new products, a report found. In the fourth quarter of 2008, foodservice spending increased in the U.S., although it decreased abroad in countries such as Japan.
