Researchers optimistic about new food allergy therapy

Pediatric researchers are encouraged by results of oral immunotherapy to slowly desensitize children's immune systems to overcome food allergies. It has been especially successful for children with milk and peanut allergies, but researchers caution much more study is needed to perfect the strategy and make it available for widespread use.
