Scammers take advantage of economic concerns

Even the most savvy Internet users can get roped in by realistic-sounding work-at-home scams that prey on people's sense of financial insecurity. "Scammers read the headlines and anytime people are vulnerable, they'll take advantage," said BBB spokeswoman Alison Southwick.
