Costs color pet health care decisions

A significant number of pet owners find cost a key consideration when deciding whether to obtain high-priced treatments for their animals, according to a new poll. Making the tough financial calls can take a toll on loving pet owners without the means to pay for pricey surgeries and other treatments. "Grief gets complicated when we can't do everything we would have liked to do for our animal," said Colorado State University veterinarian Jane Shaw.
