DSG says World Cup is helping boost television sales

DSG International said television sales at its Currys and PC World chains and online operation Dixons have surged more than 140% last week compared with the same period the previous year. The retailer cited the World Cup as contributing to the sales increase. Four years ago, before the tournament was held in Germany, sales surged about 80%, the company said.
