Ethical failures can hurt your bottom line

Ethical lapses can hit companies where it hurts -- their bottom line -- with losses including time spent rebuilding stock prices and executive expertise, says ethical studies expert Marianne Jennings. Although confronting ethical problems head-on is difficult, she says, companies must incorporate how to handle ethics issues into their business strategy. "When you fool with trust," she says, "you fool with the capital markets."
