FAA ends experimental departure route for Calif. airport

The Federal Aviation Administration ended its 180-day flight path test for Santa Monica Municipal Airport. The experimental departure route prompted thousands of noise complaints from residents near the general aviation airport in Santa Monica, Calif. "There are too many schools and too many residents in the flight path," said Joanne Segal, who lives in the Sunset Park neighborhood.
