Fire X unmanned helicopter developed for Navy

Northrop Grumman has teamed up with Bell Helicopter to develop the Fire X, a combination of Northrop Grumman's Fire Scout vertical takeoff-and-landing unmanned aerial vehicle capabilities and Bell's 407 commercial helicopter. The aircraft is a response to the Navy's RFI for a persistent ship-based unmanned aircraft system and will be flown in a demonstration for the Navy this year.
