JetBlue traffic increase in May exceeds added capacity

JetBlue Airways Corp. says its increase in traffic by 9.8% in May well exceeded the carrier's 4.5% increase in capacity for the month, resulting in fuller planes and occupancy increasing 3.9 percentage points to 81.3%. In the first five months of the year, the airline saw traffic increase 7.4% to 11.13 billion revenue-passenger miles, while capacity increased 5.8% to 14.18 billion available seat miles.
