Sen. Murkowski's EPA resolution is slammed by White House

The White House is threatening to veto a resolution that would take away the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's authority to issue climate regulations. "The measure would undo EPA's carefully constructed approach to reducing pollution generated by the largest oil companies, oil refineries, and other large-scale polluters," said a statement from the White House. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, disagrees and said, "This resolution is about protecting the economy and preventing agency overreach, it's as simple as that."
