A North Carolina student with cystic fibrosis will graduate with honors from high school Saturday, despite needing a double lung transplant and fighting infections in 2009. April Cogdell kept up with her studies and maintained her honors status throughout her illness, and she is set to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and study nursing. "I've never seen anybody who has fought so hard to pursue her own personal goal," one teacher said. "Not for acclaim, but for her own satisfaction -- knowing she's done the best she can."
