Wells Fargo office block earns LEED Platinum rating

Wells Fargo's Duke Energy Center, in Charlotte, N.C., has earned the Green Building Council's highest environmental honor, picking up a LEED Platinum rating. The building saves 30 million gallons of water per year through rainwater collection and reprocessing and is 22% more energy-efficient than the average comparably sized tower. The site is also the first office building in the nation to require its tenants to abide by LEED standards for commercial interiors.
