Keep pets safe from wildfire smoke, veterinarians warn

The New Mexico Veterinary Medical Association has warned that exposure to smoke can trigger breathing difficulties, coughing and other health issues in pets. As such, the group is advising animal owners to keep their pets indoors amid a massive wildfire that is sweeping through the eastern region of Arizona.
