New York City grants its first food-truck liquor license

Pera Turkish Taco Truck is one of four new mobile eateries parked at the site of the former Tavern on the Green restaurant in New York City, and it's the first to obtain a state license to sell beer, wine and cocktails with its food. Two other truck owners have applied for liquor licenses, which require owners to ensure that patrons don't take their drinks outside the designated dining area.
