Panetta pledges to consider contractor cost-sharing ideas

Leon Panetta, director of the CIA and nominee to succeed Defense Secretary Robert Gates, told members of the Senate Armed Services Committee that the idea of cost sharing with defense contractors is worth considering. The Pentagon has already been looking into the cost-sharing idea, and defense contractors have said that it could work within limits.
