The Netherlands plans expansion of iPads in schools

The Netherlands in August plans to expand an iPad programme to 10 additional primary schools -- following a teaching model developed by the "Education for a New Era" foundation. The programme's focus is on the use of educational applications to help students learn, and officials say students also will have access to the devices at home -- where time spent using such apps will count as instructional time.
