Caldeira: IFA to file Seattle suit "in a matter of days"

Seattle's new $15 minimum wage law is an attempt to fulfill a political agenda, discriminates unfairly against the 600 franchisees in the city that own 1,700 establishments and creates an uneven playing field among small businesses there, IFA President and CEO Steve Caldeira said. "In a matter of days, not weeks, we're going to file a lawsuit against the city of Seattle because we believe that it violates basic tenets of the Commerce Clause ... [and] the Equal Protection Clause," Caldeira said.
