Commentary: Female board directors spur innovation, improved performance

The U.S. hasn't yet mustered the same level of enthusiasm for gender parity on corporate boards that some European countries have, writes Lauren Leader-Chivée. However, this is an important topic, because companies with female directors tend to be more innovative and exhibit stronger performance. "While no one can prove it's directly causal, all the data points to women bringing nothing but upside," she writes.
