Increased yogurt consumption tied to reduced obesity risk

Research presented at the European Congress on Obesity says participants who had higher yogurt consumption had significantly reduced odds of obesity compared with those who had lower intake. Combining yogurt with a Mediterranean diet or high fruit consumption lowered the risk of obesity even more, researchers said.
