Wal-Mart app features automatic price-match refunds

Wal-Mart is extending its price-match guarantee to a mobile application that will give consumers automatic refunds on select products if a rival is found to offer a lower price. Consumers can become eligible for the refunds by scanning their receipts with the Savings Catcher app, allowing Wal-Mart to build a database of shopper data in a way that mimics typical loyalty programs.
