Houston OKs plan to link teacher pay, student scores

Yesterday the Houston school board unanimously approved a plan to pay performance bonuses up to $3,000 to teachers working at three of the district's lowest-performing high schools. The pilot program, which will cost almost $800,000 annually, will run for three years.
