Will education issues be more prominent in general election?

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., each support NCLB's goals and the use of metrics to gauge whether those aims are being met, but McCain is apt to freeze education spending while reviewing the effectiveness of federal education programs, according to one report. Obama, on the other hand, wants to spend more on teacher training and find new ways to better assess students.
