Clinical trial of aneurysm device launches in U.S.

A surgeon at the Arizona Heart Institute successfully implanted an endoluminal graft into a patient with abdominal aortic aneurysm as part of a midstage trial. The patient is the first in the U.S. to receive the Anaconda Stent Graft System, which the surgeon says eliminates the need for open-heart surgery.
