FDA advisers endorse 3 antipsychotics for older children

An FDA panel recommended approval for antipsychotics Seroquel, Zyprexa and Geodon to be used in older children. AstraZeneca and Eli Lilly and Co. are seeking to market Seroquel and Zyprexa, respectively, for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in patients ages 13 to 17, and Pfizer plans to promote Geodon for bipolar mania in children ages 10 to 17.
