S&P warns of possible rating downgrades in Asia-Pacific

The credit ratings of Asian-Pacific sovereign debt are vulnerable to downgrades, despite the thought that the world economy has hit bottom and is on the way to recovery, Standard & Poor's said. Ratings are under pressure because huge amounts of government spending for rescues and economic-stimulus programs have led to exploding budget deficits, the credit rating agency said.
