AT&T reaches ESPN 3D deal in time for World Cup

AT&T's U-verse video service will launch the ESPN 3D network when it debuts Friday at the onset of the World Cup soccer tournament. ESPN 3D is part of U-verse's 3-D package, a $10 monthly subscription service. Subscribers will need a 3-D-ready TV set and special glasses, but U-verse DVRs already support 3-D programming, AT&T said.
