ESPN 3D extends distribution reach

ESPN 3D, the three-dimensional TV network that soon will be launched by the cable sports network, has inked a carriage deal with AT&T for the telecom's U-verse TV service. ESPN 3D, which will kick off its coverage of the World Cup soccer tournament Friday, also has distribution deals with Comcast and DirecTV and will be available in more than 40 million homes.
