KingSett Capital, a private investment company in Toronto, increased its holding of Primaris REIT to 12.16% this week -- prompting speculation it is aiming for a takeover. If so, the retail REIT would be a plum acquisition, analysts agree. "What the market may under-appreciate is the value of the Primaris franchise," says Michael Smith, with Macquarie Securities. "They have a full slate of accounting and leasing staff that's very hard to duplicate."
