Nobody, man or woman, should settle for a dead-end job

A recent gender-discrimination lawsuit against Wal-Mart revealed women are most likely to be forced into low-paying jobs such as working the cash register, but the ruling against Wal-Mart should spur all companies to reinvent such jobs to benefit female and male employees, Mark Gimein argues. Corporations need to insure employees at every level have a real chance to advance their careers, he says.
