Qdoba aims for warmer feel with new prototype

Qdoba will unveil a new store prototype this year, with changes based on feedback from customers who said they wanted a warmer feel and quieter atmosphere. The burrito chain says its guests tend to be a bit older than those of competitor Chipotle, and they don't necessarily want to dine amid trendy decor and hip music. "The challenge of being [really] trendy is it dates faster," said product development director Ted Stoner.
