Survey: Congestion costs construction firms big bucks

Congestion and run-down highways are causing big problems for construction companies, increasing costs and reducing productivity across the board, according to a new report from the Associated General Contractors of America. The survey highlights the need for a new transport bill to put America's highways back on track, AGC officials said. "Chronic congestion is causing costly delays and forcing expensive changes in the way the construction industry does business," said Stephen Sandherr, the group's CEO.
