Peruvian city becomes laboratory for dengue research

Researchers in Iquitos, Peru, are undertaking a mosquito census in the city in an effort to develop measures to prevent dengue fever. As part of the program, nurses monitor people for fever and collect blood samples every six months. All of the data gathered are documented in a map to provide a sketch of the virus' migration.
