Analysis: HP has big plans for the cloud market

Hewlett-Packard is forging ahead on its OpenStack platform strategy and plans a variety of features to beef up its offering, despite the brand-name competition in the public-cloud space. "HP is going to focus on more expensive build-to-fit tech, such as analytics and integration that uses its own expertise," Jack Clark writes. The company will find its own way in building a cloud infrastructure, and it will begin to sell whole cloud stacks to service providers, Clark writes.
