Experts say doctors are getting more efficient, productive

Primary care physicians are improving their efficiency and adopting practices that lead to better outcomes, according to experts at the University of Michigan Health System. Jean Malouin, M.D., said the patient-centered medical home is one of the best ways to increase a practice's productivity, which will be needed because physicians are expected to see higher patient volumes due to the Affordable Care Act and an expected shortage of doctors.
