How can teachers ensure students are watching flipped videos?

Quizzes embedded in video lessons are one way to ensure students are watching outside of class and a good way to check for understanding in a flipped classroom, Potomac, Md., math teacher Stacey Roshan writes. Using programs such as Camtasia Studio, multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions can be scored and automatically sent, and short-answer responses can be used to structure the in-class lesson for the next day, Roshan writes in this blog post.
